Supporting deprived Muslim communities
within the London area
Zakat should be paid first in the country where we reside
Despite London’s reputation as a global financial centre where trillions of foreign currencies are traded, a significant number of people struggle to make ends meet.
Hidden poverty is concentrated in certain inner London boroughs such as Newham, Tower Hamlets, Brent or Southwark. However, even in more affluent boroughs, poverty can be found lurking in the shadow.
Despite the fact that many Muslim Londoners rely on foodbanks to get by, poverty is not easily acknowledged within our culture due to stigma and fear of being judged.
The challenges we face as a Ummah all over the world are immense. However, one should also focus on the challenges we face on our doorstep. The emotional toll of poverty on Muslim communities across London is huge, leading to stress, anxiety, family relationship breakdowns, juvenile crime and other related issues.
Your donation, whether Zakat or Sadaqah, directly impacts the number of families we can assist.
Our work puts in practice our religion of brotherhood and brings hope whilst inspiring many who also want to make a difference in our society.

Support Our Cause
Following the Sunnah of our messenger Mohammed peace and blessing be upon him, we believe that we should start looking after those who live in our neighbourhoods. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “He is not a complete believer, whose stomach is filled while his neighbour goes hungry.”
