El hamdulillah, this year was really challenging. As we initially didn't have a venue, we were not prepared when we were offered the small space on Lea Bridge Road, but we made it work. We are desperately looking for a venue for next year insha Allah.
Regarding venues, please, contact us by email for next year if you have any suggestions. The main criteria are as follows:
- The venue should be on the ground floor
- It should be safe and secure
- Food packages could be kept securely overnight for 3 nights.
- Our preference is in East London but we are open to suggestions.
What happened this year?
- 94 Muslim households across the greater London area received Zakat el Fitr in food packages.
- More than 2.5 tons of staple food were distributed.
- 95 Muslim families and individuals seeking asylum were provided with food vouchers.
